Hi Everyone!

As I was going through the usual google search of short ombre hairstyles that has become a daily requisite for me, I thought about how there aren't many out there, and so thought I would start my own blog to remedy this problem, and to help keep me motivated as I begin the slow, painful process of the long grow out (collective groan please!)

So, here is my short DIY Ombre:
I have been growing my hair since last November, so all in all a whopping (for me anyway) 6 months! I remember how exciting it was when I finally managed to get it up into a ponytail! I have been sporting short hair for about 4 or so years now and time has finally come when I want to grow it out again. Up to this point I have been rocking a Frankie-from-the-Sats asymmetric type hair style and it has taken a LONG time to get it even again.

Anyway, used a highlighting kit to do my own ombre as the L'Oreal kit left a lot to be desire IMO and didn't go anywhere near as light as I wanted it to (this is probably due to the fact that my hair was dyed dark to start with). So power bleach it was until I was as blonde as blonde can be for the last two inches of my hair.
I use a wash-in-wash-out cool blonde ash colour to touch up the blonde and keep the yellow-ness at bay and give the the white-silver that I've got going on at the moment. Excellent conditioner is a must and I use John Freida for touch ups and Pantene colour correct for day-to-day conditioner.

Well, that's it for now. If anyone wants any more blogs, or tutorials etc please leave me a comment and I will do the best I can to put up some more images. B xx
